Maastricht University Euregion Refugee Scholarship
The Maastricht University (UM) Euregion Refugee Scholarship aims to facilitate access to higher education for students from refugee communities. This scholarship provides tuition waivers for talented refugee students from the Meuse-Rhine Euregion who are admitted to a master’s programme at UM. The initiative is designed to support and encourage these learners to pursue their academic goals despite challenges.
Key Information:
- Eligibility:
- Must be a refugee residing in Belgium or Germany.
- Must reside in the Euregion.
- Must be willing to sign a consent form agreeing not to move to the Netherlands and to commute to Maastricht University.
- Must have applied for a full-time master’s programme at Maastricht University for the 2024-2025 academic year (excluding Medicine and Physician-Clinical Investigator programmes).
- Must meet the admission requirements of the applied master’s programme.
- Must not have participated in a degree-seeking higher education programme in the Netherlands.

- Proof of registration at your current address
- Copy of your residence permit in Belgium or Germany
